This project is an exploration of a trip to the far future and a hypothetical way we could visually imagine the future a billion years from now. It starts from familiar pieces of tech (simple) and morphs into a utopian unknown — how the future will play out in either destruction or transformation.
The animation uses experimental and metaphorical visual effects through which viewers are prompted to define the future for themselves, drawing their own conclusions based on what they see. Designed for ESAD’s Open Week, this piece was projected onto the floor, immersing the audience in its speculative vision of what lies ahead.
I used Cinema 4D for the 3D animations. Composed and edited in after effects.
